Essay day

Today we were assigned a prompt to write an essay for a major grade. The prompt dealt with the novel “The Color Purple”. Writing this essay was a little difficult because I have trouble putting my thoughts onto paper. I usually think about what i am going to write but I can almost never put it on paper. Also I had trouble on creating different ways to start my body paragraphs without repeating the same thing. I feel like I did alright on the essay I was confident coming into the assignment. Overall I learned from some mistakes that I usually make and hope to continue learning in AP lit.

Is having meal time valuable and important?

Meal time is a valuable and important activity to a family. Having meal time is important because now-a-days everyone is usually on the phones or technology in general, rather than interacting with the rest of their family. This will help ones family interact more and communicate. From observing I’ve noticed that most families don’t really interact wit one another because they are always on their phones. Meal time is also valuable because it gives ones family time to catch up with each other and see how their lives been going. An experience I had was when a family members didn’t even know what their child was interested in because they never talk about those particular things. Therefore having meal time where everyone can come together and communicate is a very valuable and important thing.

Reviewing standards and Reading the play Fences

Today we discussed and went over how to do the standards as of answering the questions and prompts given to us. We also discussed how we could compare and relate this questions to the play that we are reading. While reading the play we asked ourselves those questions so that when we came across them on the AP exam we would know how to word and site our evidence. All in all it was a productive day in class and I can’t wait to finish the play that we are reading.
