Poem day

Today we read and analyzed poems written by Maya Angelou and Langston Hughes. The poems we read were not difficult. We analyzed them as a class so I got a better understanding of what the speaker was trying to convey. Although it got a little boring I stayed up and participated in class. Those poems were very moving. They inspired me to keep pushing through the good and the bad days. I enjoyed the lesson today in class hopefully I’ll enjoy it tmr as well.

Poem and quiz day

Today we took a multiple choice quiz. I did well on it I felt as if it wasn’t difficult. After we took it and went over the correct answers in class it opened my eyes up a little more about process of elimination. I used process of elimination and it helped a lot. After we took a quiz we read a poem. The poem wasn’t hard but it was some lines I didn’t understand. As we analyzed it I understood it more. All in all I’m was a productive day in AP literature.

Understanding Themes and writing concepts

Today we were placed in groups so that we could do an activity on the novel “The Color Purple”. The activity was to write down themes, evidence, and claims portraying to the topic. This activity was actually helpful because it breaks down the themes and topics of the novel. It also helped because each one of us had to view others opinions and think outside of the box. It made me think deeper into the novel to find out more themes and evidences. This activity was fun. I enjoyed doing it. Tomorrow we take our EQT hopefully I pass it.

Pop quiz day

Today my teacher surprised us with a a pop quiz on a take that we have been reading in class. I passed the quiz with a 100. After we took the quiz we went over the quiz. We also went over multiple choice questions and how to answer them using process of elimination. The class discussed why we chose the answers that we chose so that we can pick the best answer next time we take multiple choice tests. All in all it was a great day in AP literature.
