Sub work

Today I worked on my assignment from yesterday. We had to read and answer some questions based off of a take from the Canterbury Tales. The questions wasn’t difficult, the required a little bit more thinking than I thought but I finished them to my best ability. After I finished my work I just relaxed and did some work for my other Classes. Then I realized that we had to finish the cluster we started on as a group and write two paragraphs. I gathered my group members and we sat and tried to figure out what to write and where we left off. However we didn’t so I just took it home and worked on it there. All in all it was a good day in AP literature.

What a powerful poem!   Today’s lesson was on a poem called I Felt a Funeral in My Brain by Emily Dickinson. I really loved the poem because of its complexity and because it is very powerful. The theme of this poem is that silence can be very powerful. With that being said this poem taught me life lessons as well. I tried my best to analyze the poem on my own and I got very far but with the help of my teacher and classmates I understood it even more. Reflection A Lesson Before Dying: Ch.1-3

Chapter 1 left me yearning to see what was going to happen next because I thought Jefferson’s attomey story was convincing, but the court still found Jefferson guilty for the murder of Alcee Grope. Chapter 2 introduced Grant, the narrator, who is also Tante Lou’s nephew. I didn’t like that Tante Lou made Grant go and talk to Henri pichot against his will not knowing Louis Rougon would accuse him of making Miss Emma and Tante Lou come and talk to Henri about Jefferson. From reading chapter 3 I implied that the lesson of the book would be being acknowledge for what you truly are. In Jefferson’s case a man.
