Multiple choice

Today we took a quiz on pros multiple choice passage. Reading and understanding the passage was not as difficult as I thought it would be. The most important thing I know that I need to work on is vocabulary. The reason I say that is because it was hard understanding the question based on the word choice. During the process of taking the quiz I used process of elimination to answer the questions. That method is very helpful especially when one is not understanding the question or answer choices. After the quiz we worked in groups to compare and contrast our group member answers. When comparing our answers we came up with the best answer for each question and turned our paper in. Later my teacher passed out the scores and I saw that I made a 100. I was so excited. We learned a lot today in class. Hopefully we learn and have fun next time.

What a powerful poem!   Today’s lesson was on a poem called I Felt a Funeral in My Brain by Emily Dickinson. I really loved the poem because of its complexity and because it is very powerful. The theme of this poem is that silence can be very powerful. With that being said this poem taught me life lessons as well. Reflection A Lesson Before Dying: Ch.1-3

Chapter 1 left me yearning to see what was going to happen next because I thought Jefferson’s attomey story was convincing, but the court still found Jefferson guilty for the murder of Alcee Grope. Chapter 2 introduced Grant, the narrator, who is also Tante Lou’s nephew. I didn’t like that Tante Lou made Grant go and talk to Henri pichot against his will not knowing Louis Rougon would accuse him of making Miss Emma and Tante Lou come and talk to Henri about Jefferson. From reading chapter 3 I implied that the lesson of the book would be being acknowledge for what you truly are. In Jefferson’s case a man.
