What a powerful poem!  


Today’s lesson was on a poem called I Felt a Funeral in My Brain by Emily Dickinson. I really loved the poem because of its complexity and because it is very powerful. The theme of this poem is that silence can be very powerful. With that being said this poem taught me life lessons as well. I tried my best to analyze the poem on my own and I got very far but with the help of my teacher and classmates I understood it even more. I’m glad that my teacher introduced this author and this specific poem to me because I really enjoyed reading and analyzing it.
